Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Stroll.
App Usage
What is Stroll?
Stroll is the fastest way to clean your photo library. Swipe through your photos one at a time. Left to delete, right to keep.
How do I clean a month?
Pinch the Clean tab to zoom between years, months and days, then pick one and start swiping. Your progress is saved, so you can stop anytime and pick up where you left off.
Are photos deleted immediately?
No. Left-swiped photos go to Stroll's Archive first. Nothing is deleted until you tap Delete in the Archive tab and confirm.
Can I undo a swipe?
Yes. Tap the undo button in the deck to bring back your last swipe, or restore any photo from the Archive tab before deleting.
How much space can I free up?
That depends on your library. Stroll shows you exactly how much space each cleanup frees, and your running total on the Clean tab.
Privacy & Data
Do my photos leave my device?
Never. Stroll reads your photo library on-device only. No photo, thumbnail, or metadata is ever uploaded anywhere.
What data does Stroll collect?
Only your account details if you sign in (Google or Apple) and anonymous usage statistics. Your photos and swipe history stay on your device.
Can deleted photos be recovered?
Photos deleted by Stroll go to your device's Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them for 30 days.
Troubleshooting
Why can't Stroll see my photos?
Stroll needs photo library permission. Go to Settings → Stroll → Photos and choose Full Access.
Why do some photos show no size?
Photos stored only in iCloud may not report a size until they're downloaded to your device.
How do I report a bug or give feedback?
